Write about an intense argument/fight between two girl friends.

Write about a girl who has been a ballerina (or gymnast, swimmer, cellist, what have you…) for most of her life. But as she enters the stage of life where she really has to get serious (maybe she’s applying to ballet schools, or auditioning for big shows in New York or Russia or wherever else people do serious ballet), she decides that she doesn’t like doing ballet anymore. What happens? Is there something she wants to do instead? Are her parents and the people around her disappointed in her, and if so, how does she manage that?

Write a story/scene/poem/etc. based on the above photo.

If you’re a girl, try writing from a guy’s point of view when he first meets a girl (or boy) he immediately likes.

If you’re a guy, try writing from a girl’s point of view when she first meets a boy (or girl) she immediately likes.

Write about a small-town girl seeing the ocean for the first time.

Write a story about these women.

Write from the perspective of a woman who is pregnant.

Or, if you want to take it further/make it more personal, write from the perspective of your mom when she was pregnant with you.
