re: where to submit work, etc. How do you decide which journal to send to? That's easy. Submit to journals that you read and like. Don't send to journals you've never read before. Journals/their editors want to feel as if you really want your work to be in their journal, not just that you got their name from one of the directories. Finally, contact editors about stories published in their journal. Engage with editors on all levels. Let them know you're out there and you like what they're doing.
