I don't mind it if it's done well. In The Casual Vacancy, there is talk of Facebook and it seems to show (27% done) the affects it can have on troubled teenagers, and I like that. However, in Gun Games by Faye Kellerman, she uses texting and Facebook messaging speak, and it is jarring. I immediately disliked the book and skipped over the texting parts. I don't read novels to read ppl wrtng lk ths. I don't even text like that.
