Charles Dickens wrote a really cool essay called Night Walks, about his insomnia-inspired walks around London that lasted into the early hours of the next morning.

Write a similar type of piece about your own home city or town. It doesn’t necessarily have to even take place during the night—I don’t want any of you younger kids wandering around Manhattan by yourself at 4 in the morning!—but try and capture the more unique aspects of your own city.
