I've been working on a novel for four years now and I just want it to be finished already. I'm worried to have it published because I'm insecure about my writing. I'm insecure about my punctuation and stuff like that. Should I just keep editing it? Suggestions?
You don’t have to sweat little things like punctuation when you start looking for an agent and then an editor. They’ll take care of all that stuff!
You know, I bet you every author who’s ever taken a novel they’ve written—especially one that’s taken four years to write!—has felt insecure and nervous about sharing their writing. But you just have to be brave!
Someone once told me that writing is 10% writing and 90% editing, and that after you write what you have to do is edit. And then edit some more. And then… edit it again. So yeah, just keep editing it!
