Write about someone poor finding a wallet.
Is it old, new?
What’s inside?
Who does it belong to? Someone young, elderly, rich, poor?
And what does your character do with it?

GUYS. I have a Harry Potter related question:
So I’m out at the bars with my friends, and obviously we’re talking about HP.
So my one friend said that there are actually only 5 boys and 5 girls per house, per class. So Harry, Ron, Neville, Seamus, and Dean are the only Gryffindor boys in their grade. Which would mean there are 280 students at Hogwarts at a time.
UNLESS there are other boys in Harry’s year and house that...

floranella-deactivated20120119 asked: I loved your story (Uncommon) -- both Stephen and Jules felt very real to me and I could vividly picture each scene in the story. It also kept my interest throughout the entire story and when I read it I was eager to know what happened next. I could see it being published in a short story collection or magazine etc :) But yeah, overall, I loved it!

sleeptard asked: Hey Yeah Write! I was wondering if you've ever encountered the problem of having the dialogue evolve into this entangling argument between the two characters? I don't know. Maybe I'm a socially awkward animal and I can't create vivid conversations. Do you have any suggestions?

Would anyone like to read my newest story?
It’s about a girl who’s forced to go live in her brother’s apartment in Boston, and he’s a plant genius.
You can either leave your email address as an answer below, or if you want to privately send me an ask, that’s okay too!
rapunzeldalibra-deactivated2012 asked: I'm going on a holiday in a few days and I'm copying down a whole lot of your prompts so I can get some stuff written and not lose all writing ability when I'm away =] I'm really excited to be writing some of them!
kitestothewind asked: The Pillars of the Earth is one of the best books I've ever read!!! I always get so excited when someone else appreciates it as much as I do!
erishkegal asked: Pillars of the Earth is one of my all-time favourite books since I read it, about 10 years ago (?) - and there is a sequel called World Without End, though that isn't quite as good. The mini-series is good, as they go - of course, they can't get all the detail in it, but Rufus Sewell plays Tom Builder and I love him :)

Hello friends!
I’m writing to RAVE about a book I have been raving about ever since I read it last Christmas Break. And when I say RAVE, I mean RAVE. If you could only read one book this holiday season, or this year, or for the rest of your life (a bit extreme, I realize), it should be…

…that doesn’t feel like a total mess. So far I’ve been in such a rush to post my other stories to our Blackboard page that I know it’s a mess, and then my feedback is all about all the things that I already know are a mess but didn’t have time to fix. But this time I think it’ll be super interesting for my classmates to share what they noticed but I...
